Rona Gersten Berns, Esq.
Rona Gersten Berns graduated from Columbia Law School, where she was a Kent Scholar and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. She received her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from New York University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
After graduation from law school, she took a position with a leading entertainment law firm, where she concentrated on matters relating to the development, production, and distribution of television programming and theatrical motion pictures and the representation of writers, talent artists and musicians. Recruited by the entertainment industry while in private practice, she took a position in the Business Affairs department of HBO, a division of Time Warner, Inc. In this position, she served as liaison between the Acquisition and Legal Affairs departments, where she coordinated all phases of HBO’s deal process for the acquisition of theatrical motion pictures and related pay-cable TV exhibition rights. Most recently, she has worked as a recruiter for a boutique executive search firm, specializing in the placement of senior level management for major corporations.
